Oh and calibration kits are ONLY in Pripyat to the guy that was talking about tool kits. I pre-ordered the special edition from Amazon for $40 however there is a sale on steam for 'loyal fans' and if you already have Shoc or Clear sky you can get Call of Pripyat for $20. All in all I am getting a fairly stable (very few short lags every once in a great while) 30 fps on high* (not ultra) settings with 1680x1050 resolution.
Oh and my specs: Q6600 Quad at 2.4ghz, 8800GT (G92) OC'd to 720 core clock and 1800mhz shader clock and 3 gb of DDR2 667mhz ram. I think this is actually BETTER than Shoc! I love the atmosphere and everything about this game! Props to GSC for a very bug-free and AWESOME game. I've been playing for about 2 days (intensely though, about 6 hours a day at least) and I crashed only once during a load.
COP is now on Steam for those who are unable to find the bloody DVD!ĪLSO! I now have 21 hours in the game, not one crash or hang.
